From 22 March 2025, Portlantis will take you on an exciting journey through the port of Rotterdam. This experience centre brings together every aspect of the port. It will be an exciting destination where you will discover how the port works, what it means for our daily lives and what the port of the future will look like.

Discover the port like never before
You’ll soon be experiencing the port in surprising ways. Your journey of discovery will include augmented reality, labs where you conduct your own technical and chemical experiments, a spectacular tour that takes you on a dizzying flight through the port – buckle up! – and all kinds of models of the most impressive sea-going vessels, trains and trucks.
And so much more...
For those wanting the real deal, enjoy an expedition by coach, ship or on foot. Our guides will take you beyond the fences into the port area. There is also lots to discover in and around the building. Climb the giant red stairs that frame the building to conquer the panoramic deck. Enjoy a beach walk, go on a fossil expedition, have a breather during your bike ride or a reserve a table with breathtaking views in our fourth-floor restaurant.
Group visits
Portlantis is a truly original destination, for both business and private group outings. This also applies to groups of schoolchildren and students of all educational disciplines. A visit to Portlantis and the port guarantees you a day full of awe-inspiring moments. We create bespoke programmes making use of all the activities and facilities on offer, such as our conference rooms, the film theatre and the restaurant. Portlantis has ample parking for passenger cars and coaches.

Portlantis neemt je begin 2025 mee op een enerverende reis door de haven van Rotterdam. In dit ervaringscentrum komt alles van de haven samen. Het wordt een spannende bestemming waar je kunt ontdekken hoe de haven werkt, wat het betekent voor ons dagelijks leven en hoe de haven van de toekomst er uitziet.

Ontdek de haven als nooit tevoren
Straks beleef je de haven op verrassende manieren. Jouw ontdekkingsreis maak je met behulp van augmented reality, labs waar je zelf technische en chemische proefjes doet, een spectaculaire tour waarmee je een duizelingwekkende vlucht - riemen vast! - door heel de haven maakt en modellen van schepen, treinen en vrachtwagens.
En nog zoveel meer...
Wie the real deal aandurft, gaat op expeditie per bus, schip of te voet. Onze gidsen nemen je mee voorbij de hekken het havengebied in. Ook op en rond het gebouw is van alles te ontdekken. Via de reusachtige rode trappen die het gebouw omlijsten verover je het panoramadeck. Je kunt strandwandelingen maken, op fossielenexpeditie gaan, een tussenstop maken tijdens je fietstocht of een tafel reserveren met adembenemend uitzicht in ons restaurant op de vierde verdieping.
Groepsbezoeken
Zowel voor zakelijke als particuliere groepsbezoeken is Portlantis een originele bestemming. Dit geld ook voor groepen scholieren en studenten van alle opleidingsrichtingen. Een bezoek aan Portlantis en de haven staat garant voor overweldigende indrukken. We maken programma’s op maat waarbij alle aangeboden activiteiten en faciliteiten zoals onze zalen, het filmtheater en het restaurant kunnen worden ingezet. Portlantis beschikt over voldoende parkeergelegenheid voor personenauto’s en touringcars.
